The NeoMarxist Politically Correct
It is long past time for those of us who are committed to faith and freedom to call out the Neo-Marxist purveyors of Political Correctness for corrupting the political process. Political Correctness is not about being polite or considerate of other people’s feelings, it is a Neo-Marxist strategy to silence common sense opposition to their radical agenda. Many may be shocked that someone would label the pushers of Political Correctness as Neo-Marxists. Since the downfall of Joe McCarthy’s anticommunist crusade in the 1950s calling people Marxists has been socially taboo. Those cognizant of the dangers posed by the Politically Correct often refer to them as Liberals or Fascists or Leftists, but these labels are inaccurate. True Liberals support free speech even for those with different opinions. The goal of the purveyors of PC Neo-Marxism is to silence the speech of anyone who disagrees with them. Fascists and Neo-Marxists are totalitarian by nature and want their opposition shut down, but Fascist are racists, sexists, and side with oppressors. PC Neo-Marxists champion the cause of the oppressed. While traditional Marxists focused on economics, PC Neo-Marxists are concerned with race and sex.
One of the prime strategies of the PC Neo-Marxists is to howl every time someone points out their Marxist roots; however if you look at whom they quote, it is usually Marxists. The Politically Correct follow Marxist ideology, whose guiding principle is: All history is the history of class struggle – the oppressors against the oppressed. The Neo-Marxists approach every situation by dividing people into the oppressed and the oppressors: White oppressors, blacks oppressed, men versus women, rich versus poor, Christians versus LGBTQ, and so on.
The PC Neo-Marxists’ objective is to foment revolution by stoking anger in the oppressed class against their oppressors by focusing on instances of injustice and looking for evidence of discrimination. As real discrimination diminishes, they whine about micro-aggressions.
The strategies of the PC Neo-Marxists may be puzzling if you don’t understand their ideological roots. According them, oppressors have no rights. Thus Black Lives Matter activists expressed outrage when someone suggested that white lives also matter. For the PC Neo-Marxist, whites are oppressors and therefore, for them white lives don’t matter.
Chai Feldblum, a lesbian appointed to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, is a perfect example of the PC Neo-Marxism. According to her, when religious liberty and sexual liberty conflict, she admits, “I’m having a hard time coming up with any case in which religious liberty should win.”
PC Neo-Marxists attack anyone who uses language they have deemed offensive, claiming that is wrong to hurt people’s feelings, but they are only concerned with the feelings of the oppressed. They routinely engage in vicious name calling, labeling their critics racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, Islamaphobic, xenophobic, bigoted haters. While they claim to want to empower the oppressed, it is professors, diversity enforcers, and community activists who benefit and increase their influence and funding.
How did the PC Neo-Marxism gain respectability? PC Neo-Marxist radicals of the 60s became professors in the 80s and now dominate the majority of educational institutions, systematically discriminating against anyone who doesn’t accept to PC orthodoxy. Parents are conned into paying the ever-inflating price for higher education. Hoping to insure their children’s financial future, parents send them to colleges where they are systematically indoctrinated by PC Neo-Marxist professors.
PC Neo Marxist solutions rarely improve the situation of the oppressed. When their schemes inevitably fail, they blame bigotry, discrimination, and stigma. Actually solving problems would blunt the anger of the oppressed, deprive the activists of things to complain about, and delay the revolution. Real solutions are, therefore, inconsistent with the goals of the PC Neo-Marxists. Black Lives Matter want riots and conflict, which will drive business out of already deprived areas and lead to more crime.
As Christians we must be concerned about the plight of the poor and those denied equal rights. Sincere believers can, however, be seduced by stories of real injustice into supporting PC Neo-Marxist activism or worse react to PC rhetoric by hardening their heart to real suffering. The Christian answer to the ideology of class struggle is the solidarity of mutual concern and care.
We are in the midst of a world-wide culture war. The temptation is to take up arms against the PC Neo-Marxists and confront them with finely honed arguments. These comfort our friends, but the PC Neo-Marxists will not be defeated with logic or facts. Their weapons are anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, and self-pity, with these they trap the wounded in self-destructive behaviors. The PC Neo-Marxists can’t heal or save, they can only destroy. We have the healing power of the Father’s love, the joy of the Gospel, the truth that liberates, and confident spirit-inspired prayer. These always triumph in the end.
