Every Vote Counts

September 7, 2012

I listened to a little of the Democratic convention, but that little was enough to convince me that the Democratic party is controlled by those who are anti-life and anti-traditional marriage, and that if they win in November freedom of religion will be under attack.  Can anyone who listened to them booing God and Jerusalem doubt their intention?

Therefore, I believe that every pro-life, pro-family person of faith has an obligation to vote against any candidate running under the Democrat label.

I know there are other issues, but they are all prudential matters upon which people of good faith may disagree. Life, marriage, and religious freedom are non-negotiable.

When you vote for a candidate, you are voting for that person’s party. The first vote that a Democrat elected to Congress will make is for the party leader and if that vote gives control, then the stage is set for the Democrats to push their agenda.

Some friends have suggested that they don’t like either party and will vote for a third party or not vote at all. At such a critical time, when everything is on the line, that is a cop out. Such a stance is at the least ½ a vote for the Democrat. This election is going to be close and every vote will matter.

Of course, we must do more than vote, we must pray and fast. We must beg the Lord not to punish our nation for the innocent blood shed by abortion, but have mercy on us for the sake of those who have fought and continue to fight to stop the slaughter.

Hardball politics used to include getting out the vote on the street level. (My mother complained that an attractive young man gave her a ride to the polls in Chicago in the 1930s, but dumped her when she didn’t vote for his candidate.)

If we wanted to return to the time before the Council when Catholic political power was feared in this country (a la “The Last Hurrah”), we could organize informally away from parish property, gather lists of right-thinking parishioners, and ensure that they get to the polls.

I feel for–better, PITY–Americans. But I worry VERY SERIOUSLY about my people and the rest of the nations of the world.

Because the corrupt, evil, fascist, authoritarianism, totalitarian, Godless and satanic government of the USA built its impunity into its globalisation international politics and, using it, has been globalising the rest of the nations of the world, covering ALL aspects of the state and national affairs of foreign countries.

One should blame the other strong and African governments for lacking the manhood necessary to stop the self-made god of the states and nations and the women who have become its MOST efficient and effective tool.

Isolate the USA government and it will cease to impose policies, beliefs, ideologies, and value on the rest of the nations and governments of the world and act morally. More the this, … you know what.

Will one Party always be in power? No. So we need to vote for pro-life, pro-family candidates regardless of political stripe. The political pendulum swings left to right and back again. Once there is a majority of good members on both sides of the floor, then we will see good things moving forward.
